2007 September 4's

The 2007 September 4's was a resounding success again this year. With a capacity field of 168 bowlers, great spring weather and perfect greens, ensured for a memorable event.

Tathra again was denied the title with the Shellharbour team skipped by G.Stevens finishing over the locals of H.Waugh. This event must have a ..... over our locals, none has won, yet many have tried. Still it was a clear win 12 - 80 opposed to 12 - 70.

On the first day, Hedley's team on the second last end tied 17 all, picked up 7 shots to win the match againt R.Crossley's team who eventually finished in fifth place. When one bowl can change three day outcomes, it stands that the standard of the field is very solid.

District Pairs:

On March 25 the District Pairs final was played at Tathra in perfect conditions between Gerry Lay, Geoffery Munz against Clyde Lemon and Barry Lemon. In a close contest that only was resolved in the last two ends, saw Gerry Lay and Geoffery Munz take out the title by three shots.

Pennants:

The Pennant teams are performing quite well with the “Threes” holding a slight advantage over their rivals and in need of a convincing win in one of the two remaining games to hold on to top spot.
The “Fours” were always going to struggle with Eden having their top team in that division.
The glamour team of the club, the “Sixes”, have exceeded all expectations and through dragging blokes out of their sickbed, and others out of the broom cupboard, to makeup their numbers each week, have performed extremely well, being undefeated until last weekend. Well done to all.
